They all fought "the hot." But why?If you're Brad Pitt or Scarlett Johansson and have been blessed with movie-star good looks, why on earth would you fight them? We're all familiar with the phrase "movie-star good looks." That phrase doesn't really mean what it used to mean when some of the most attractive stars in Hollywood inexplicably fight their own hotness. Look at Brad Pitt, a former People's "Sexiest Man Alive," who left to his own devices looks like someone who has been foraging in the woods for a few months. Johnny Depp started his career as a teen heartthrob and consistently messes up his good looks to play eccentric weirdos on-screen. Leonardo DiCaprio was another teen heartthrob who can look pretty haggard offscreen, but the former Titanic star still has a different model on his arm at every event. When Britney Spears shaved her head in front of paparazzi vultures, she momentarily rejected all beauty expectations -- at least until she could glue on more extensions. There's also Joaquin Phoenix, a formerly handsome actor who looked and behaved like a deranged hobo as part of a protracted prank for his movie I'm Still Here.
The stars on the following pages are undeniably hot, but they often sabotage their own attractiveness for some reason. See the proof!
