From past to present.

How did the years treat these 31 sitcom stars? If you're like us, you grew up watching (and loving) sitcoms, or situation comedies, on TV. Sitcoms have been around practically since the first days of television. The usually half-hour broadcasts might be recorded in front of a studio audience, or given a prerecorded laugh track in production. The first hugely popular sitcom was I Love Lucy, which ran from 1951 to 1957 and was the most-watched show for four of its six seasons.

Since the 1950s and other sitcoms like The Honeymooners made the genre popular, hundreds of hilarious shows on all kinds of situational topics have aired on TV. There was the beloved Andy Griffith Show and Dick Van Dyke Show in the '60s; All in the Family and the more dramatic comedy M*A*S*H in the '70s; lighter fare like Cheers and Family Ties in the '80s; Seinfeld and Frasier in the '90s; and modern sitcoms like The Office and Modern Family that don't use laugh tracks.

Sadly, many of the stars of early sitcoms are no longer with us. For those that are still living, it's definitely a treat to see what they look like now, especially if they've been out of the public eye for a while. Are you curious to see what happened to some of those funnypeople of yesteryear? See what your favorite sitcom stars from the 1950s to the 1990s look like now and find out what they're up to!
